Classes will begin promptly at their designated times. The dance
hour is 55 minutes. Please leave all valuables at home. CDS is
not responsible for lost or stolen property. No gum, food, candy
or pop allowed on any studio floor. Children are not allowed
to wait for a parent outside of the building. Please pick up
your child
at the end of their class time.
During the first few weeks of classes some students may be shifted
to other classes to ensure they are dancing with others of similar
ability. If you have questions about
placement, call CDS to discuss your child with the Instructors.
We cannot accept any student if they
only want to try it for a month or two. A student
in the study of ANY art form cannot decide if they will enjoy it
without
diligently applying themselves for an adequate period of time.
By making
this commitment your child will learn the importance of accepting
responsibility and finishing something they start. We, as a Performing
Arts Center dedicated to training the total artist, cannot accept
the "I can always quit" attitude.
Dancers that will be performing will
be responsible for their own costumes, accessories, etc.
Parents are invited to the first lessons
of September, December and March to watch classes. Parents are
encouraged to come and
show support. Remember to be considerate in regards to your
younger children
in the studio, as it is impossible to give a proper lesson
if the classroom is busy and noisy with spectators.
Newsletters and dance information
sheets are distributed periodically. HOWEVER, it is the
responsibility of the student and parent to check the bulletin
board and/or website for current class and updated studio
information.
All dancers must wear proper attire
and shoes. Absolutely no
jeans. Students should wear a cover up when entering and
leaving the studio.
Dance shoes should NOT be worn outside.
